BMW B48 downpipe guide: 230i, 330i and 430i (RWD)

The B48 succeeded the N20 as BMW's 2.0-litre turbo four — and like the N20, it responds well to a freer downpipe for quicker spool and a stronger note.
The one fitment trap: RWD only
The B48 appears in two very different layouts. Our downpipe is for the rear-wheel-drive / longitudinal cars — the 2-, 3- and 4-Series and Z4. It does not fit the transverse B48 in the X1, X2 or MINI, which uses a completely different exhaust.
Catless vs 200-cell
Catless for maximum flow (off-road use only), or a 200-cell high-flow cat for a cleaner, street-friendly setup. A supporting tune gets the most from either.
What fits
Fits the 230i (F22/F23), 330i (F30/G20), 430i (F32/G22) and X3/X4 30i — the longitudinal RWD B48 applications.
